My name is Chuhan Zheng. I am currently a first year graduate student in Historic Preservation program at University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from the Community Environment and Planning program with minoring in Environmental Science and Resource Management at University of Washington in June 2013. Growing up and experiencing the massive destruction of historic buildings in China urges me to learn about a better way to develop the urban area through city planning and public education. Im interested in historic, cultural and environmental preservation and planning especially in China. In future, I hope the methods of urban design, historic preservation and historic preservation could be combined for creating better living environment and better public education. Due to huge population in our country, I believe only when the public could realize the problem and being engaged in solving the problems under guidance of planners and designers could the issues being solved.
